I was wondering if anyone had the McGaughy's 4/6 drop. I have the 2/4 for by them and im looking to upgrade. I know what is required in the front and I have read what is required in the back, but i dont understand how the c-notch is going to drop it 2 more inches in the rear. Does anyone know if it comes with blocks or what?

If you want 6 inches in the rear just run your stock shackle, thats if you got the flip kit.The C-Notch will help by not allowing the axle to hit the frame.It will give it more room for travel and allow you to have the 6" drop with no problems.THe shackle with determine how much drop you get in the rear.Or if you get the Multi setting shackle,putting it on the top holes will allow you to get the 6" you want.

 

So the shackle that came with my kit actually raised it 2 inches?

Yup.Try putting in your stock one.You will bottom out like crazy.Trust me.....i did it its not a fun drive.The kit you bought was for a 2/4 drop.The shackle included in the kit was intended for the 2/4 drop.If you can adjust that shackle,put it up a level and you should drop a bit more but like I said, your bottom out ALOT.

 

it is an adjustable shackle. will it go the extra two or no?

 

With your stock shackle, Yes.With the Kit shackle,No.

yah know, i looked at the pic u e-mailed me and didn't really notice but now that i got to lookin at it some more....we have the same drop and your truck sits lower then mine lol

 

I don't have any extra pics right now, but if you send me your e-mail in a pm ill send ya some when i get some later. OH yeh my drop is suppose to be 2/4.5 but i modified it to a 2/3 temporarily to clear my rear tires.
