Has anyone experienced a whining noise from the rear axle of a 2004 1500 Ram 5.7L? It usually happens when taking a turn, left and right.

 

Some of the Rams have been having the clips in the rear diff break, this could be the cause of it. I had mine replaced under warrenty. From what I understand when they fixed mine, it seems to be something that Dodge knows about but have not done a recall with them. I guess they hope that your powertrain warrenty will be over before they break.
