Ive got an05 with the 4.7 and i cut my cats out. It runs fine. I would make sure that you unplug the O2 sensor after the cat or cats which ever you have. The ones before always read the same. with or without the cat, but you would rather the engine not read the ones after the cat or it may cause some serious damage. It will try to run normally and it cant b/c it will say their is to much gas going through the system and it will try to compensate and it will lean out, then it will say their isn't enough and it will try to dump a lot of gas. And that will keep happening until something bad happens. My friends motor actually locked down b/c of that. Took a while but it happened. Its better for it to read that something just doesn't work than to work and read wrong.... Good luck buddy... Oh yeah it will sound awesome.
