Default problem with k&n intake

i have an 06 dodge 1500 hemi which i recently installed the cold air intake from k&n. i works great, good power increase and nice rumble, though whenever i am cruising or accelerating slightly between 1500-2000 rpm's it will make a sucking type sound and bog down a little just for a few seconds, then stop and do it again 10 seconds later. has anyone heard or have this problem or at least know how to fix it?

i know exactly wat you are talking about. i took it to the dodge house and they didnt find a problem with it. i think it has to do with the shifting. iv noticed that if i dont baby it(but not step on it) but not just tap it, it shifts fine

Ordering it this week but when it goes on depends on when I am able to work on my truck without knee pain. I have to let my knee completely heal before I can even think about trying to throw upgrades onto my truck.

whatever the noise is that you are hearing, it was probably always there...you just hear it more with a CAI. You hear everything more with the CAI. The stock resonator that you take off for aftermarket CAI's hides alot of those noises.

The noise you are hearing is the EGR valve. It was always there, but the big plastic resonator over the throttle body that you removed was a baffle for it...
