Default I need your help please

Hello all, This is my first time to this board and I think it is a great site. I read through the first couple of pages and couldn't find a topic that covered several problems I am having so I guess I will just start my own.

1. Couple of weeks ago my AC/Heater started acting weird. It still blows cold/hot but when I turn the **** to blow harder it doesn't come out of the vents harder. It seems to just blow harder in the dash. Hard to explain so I hope someone will know what I am talking about. What can I do?

2. My engine light will come on for a little while and then the next time I start my truck it will not be on anymore. I can't notice anything different in my performance so not sure what it could be.

3. I just noticed my rear-end leaking. It is leaking on the front where the drive shaft enters. Is this a big problem or can I just get the seal replaced? Is this exspensive?

Thaks for taking time to read and help out. I appreciate it!!

Oh I have an 06 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi 4x4

1. Sounds to me like your climate control unit is malfuntioning
2. Take the truck to the dealer and have them scan it. If your check engine light comes on, your ecu stores the codes so they will be able to tell you what is causing it to come on.
3. Sounds like the seal is leaking

If your truck is an 06, isn't it still under warranty? I would just take it in and have them fix everything.

Thanks for the reply. No it is not under warranty. I have 65,000 miles on it. Is the seal exspensive to replace?

If you do it yourself, NO. Is is leaking out the side where the cv axles go into the carrier? Your truck should have independent from suspension if its an 06 1500 right?

Well, you will have to find out why the engine light is coming on, find what trouble codes are coming up and it could point you to the problems.

As for the rear end leaking, that should be under warrenty, I believe the 06's had a 70 or 100,000 miles drivetrain warrenty, if you have 65,000 miles on it, then that should still be covered.

..if you have a superchips programmer, you can get the check engine code there or you can go to any autozone and they'll check it for free... I think if you went to an independent gear shop they'd charge about $175-$300 to replace the pinion seal
