i hear everyone talking about how their hemi is only getting like 13 or 14 mpg, but mine is getting 14 to 15 in town and close to 20 on the high way. i know i drive it like a granny but would it realy make me get that much better. mayb my mpg thing in my truck is off?

 

no i get almost same thingyou get. i hate drving like granny but it is worth not going to gas station.

 

is that mechanical or by the overhead? The overheads can be really off

 

I normally drive like a granny. When I do it's easy to get well over 20mpg. The thing that kills my mileage it driving to work. I live about a mile from the base and it's a lot of slow driving and stopping at the gates, etc... As a result I get 13 - 14 daily average.

 

My overhead thing tells me that I am getting 17 to 18 in town. Then I pull out the pen and paper to find out what I am really getting, then I find out it's more like 14 to 15 in town. Make sure you do the math on it, the overhead can be off.

 

Driving like the granny is the best because i get 20+ on highway at 50 to 55 mph and on the city i do the same thing at 1500 rpm because it boost up my mileage and saves me huge amount of money.

 

The thing that makes me drive like a granny is the freakin Overhead [:@][:@]When I see the numbers go up I am all grins but when it dropping it just makes me let go of the gas.BOOOOOOOOOOOOO i think its just there to get you to slow down lol.[:'(]

i DEF agree. they are mean. its alllll a conspiracy. i get bout 12-13 in town and bout 20 highway tho

 

don't know if you guys can do this, but in my maxima i can:

like, while coasting down a hill in nuetral at high speeds or something, reset the mpg thing, and gives it a few seconds to recalculate...and then it read like 89.6mpg...


but on a slightly more relevant note, i drive my 3.7 like a dousche..and yea, i'm probably getting 10-11 out of it =(
