Default Wiper work when they want???? help

i have a 2004 ram, my wipers will come on for 1- 4 passes when the switch is off. and when i have it on the mist setting they stay on low speed. they sometimes come on when i shut the truck off(after key is out). anyone with this problem, please help!!!!

I have the same problem with mine or very similar. I looked through the FSM for mine, and I'd guess yours is the same. The front module controls a relay in the distribution center. That, and there is an additional switch to end the wiper stroke. I haven;t fixed mine yet, but my best guess at this point is the relay. I've had mine go to constant slow in mist settting, stop in mid stroke, continue after I've turned them off. I doubt that it is the front module (computer control) as it only sets the timing and relay arrangement based on info back from the switch and relay.

Hope this gets you headed in the right direction, let me know what you find out.

This problem isn't a relay it the park switch in the motor getting a bad connection. It sends a ground to the fcm to park the wipers and when it goes bad they will park all over the place and wipe when ever they want. Change the wiper motor to fix this problem!

I've had the same problem since i bought my truck. Every time i take it in i mention it, they test them and say they work. I'm not going to spend the moeny for a new motor Especially when it is still under warranty..... Is there any way to make them change it?

I don't know what there problem is, I change them all the time at my dealer. Chrysler has lots of money, HE HE!

I had the same thing wrong in my 06, the dealer put me on a new switch. I don't know what it cost, it was covered in the warrenty.
