deciding on a slt 08 1500 hemi or stripped st 2500 hemi money is the issue and the wife wants the 1500 i want the 2500 any way the 08 brochure for the hemi with the 392 gears shows 8500# max towing-- ill be 6500 max loaded-- my question is i have read that going from 17 to 20 wheels loose about 1000 pds towing the 1500 slt hemi comes with 20-- my question did dodge take this into account when they gave their numbers or should i take a grand off the 8500 if this is true i guess i should order it with 17s if its possible--- and i know u all are thinking get the st 2500-- but the wife loves the chrome front so she wants the 1500-- im simple dont need bells and whistles ihate carpet floors

Who's drivin the truck? There still some 07's out there. My dealer is offering 10,000.00 of any 07. But If not I,d go with the 2500

 

thats what i was gonna say. get an 07. cheaper and you can probably buy a 2500 slt for the same price as the 08 1500 slt. but what your situation seems like is just who we should pick, you or the wife lol. if youre not going over 8500#, get the 1500, if you will, get the 2500. but also remeber this, a happy wife makes a happy husband... lol. rock paper scissors maybe? by the way, welcome to the forum!!
