Default Cutouts

hey everyone

i no that cutouts have been discussed in other posts but i just have a few questions that i couldnt find answers to. Sooo here they are. Will a cutout void my warrenty its an 07 4.7L 1500 QC? Will my truck still pass inspection? Is there enough room to put it before the cat? Really i just want it for the sound and would it be worth it?

I am not 100% positive but if you put it BEFORE the cats kiss your warranty good bye.A friend of mine did it after the cats with no problems taking his truck in for service.I dunno if your truck will pass inspection since I live in a different state with verystrict Smog Laws (Kommiefornia).Do some research before you get it installed, like asking a dealer. They are the ones who will do your service work if at anytime you have to and its better getting the info from the "proffesionals" and not be later surprised your warranty is gone.

If you put the cutout before the cat, you might as well have two, one for each side before the y pipe. From reports that I've heard, the cutout is louder after the cat, but I can't verify that. I have one after the y pipe and after the cats and couldn't be happier

Are you guys using electric cutouts?

My dealer just treats the warranty as void from your mod back. IE, you replace the muffler, it is void from there back. If you take out the first resonator, it is void from there back. So at least for me. If i were to put on in after the first cat. The headers to the cat would still be covered..

That is just here though.
