You guys who dumped the 4wd.............any noticeable difference in truck speed between the 4wd and 2wd???
Sorry to hijack the thread.
Congrats on your new ride[sm=deal.gif]
Al.
I don't really notice any difference in either truck. My '05 sat maybe a 1/2" - 1" higher, but ride quality and speed are the same. I did opt for the LSD on this one, and it makes a huge difference over my last one.

4wd's are heavier (frontaxels, diff, transfer case, etc)so they are slower...along with some added parasitic loss because of the transfer case even when in 2wd mode.

Again, I haven't noticed anything. Little smoother ride, but no speed difference.

That truck is to nice are you shore you need it? Are there any fords or Chevys on your block that will come out and play. Very nice truck my brother don’t mod. To fast, let the Mopar live a little and I don’t know but in that picture that truck looks like a jet in a tux. Good Luck!

When I bought my '05 4WD, I wasn't paying much attention. I don't use it for off-road. I used it for the winters in NE Ohio. Now I don't need 4WD anymore, and mydealer orders everything in with the LSD.
