Default 4in vs. 6in

hey guys i looked all around for a post like this one couldnt find it anywhere so here i am i just need some advice whether or not i should get a 4 inch lift by Rancho or a 6 inch lift by Fabtech im gunna be doin some offroading about 60% street and 40% offroading but i just wanted to know if there is any real draw backs to either one. I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 4x4. thanks

Fabtech is generally considered the "bargain basement" suspension lift, although I've never heard any negatives about them. I'd not go any more than 35" tires on an IFS truck (yea, I know you guys who've been here for a while are tired of my harping about that), so the 4" Rancho or the 6" Fabtec will both suffice and give you the exact same ground clearance. I've driven both and a few others before I chose the Rancho, and can say without a doubt that the Rancho handles the best. Maybe the components used, but probably more that at 4" it's center of gravity is lower than a 6" kit.
So, handling aside, the big thing really is the appearance. I, for one, don't like to see a huge gap between the top of the tire and the tire well. Others like that big open space look. You are not really going to go wrong with either, so it's basically up to personal taste...
