Rims from Sears, any good?
Hey everyone,
I've been looking into buying some tires and rims for my truck this spring. I was curious to hear, what other's thought about buying rim's from Sears. Their quality any good? Would you buy from them? Any suggestions would be great!
Here is a link, to the rim style I like:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...ame=All+Wheels
Also, any suggestions on powdercoating them? I like the fade chrome/black look, I'm guessing "Nightrunner?" I'm still debating on which style of tire to get. I want a "nobby tire, with good traction." And if all fails, I will go with some 20-22's, with a high perfomance tire.
Thanks...

I didn't even know they sold rims [:'(][:'(]
I would go to a reputable tire shop to get rims. They will sell you quality tires.Only tire I can think of that sears might sell is the BFG's,Michellen(however you spell it),General, and Good Year.

I would't buy the little plastic ones that they place inside the tire.
It's according to the brand name, they do carry some good rims but you have to look at the brand of the rim just like the tires that they sell.

if you have a Discount Tire store by your place, you can get really, really nice rims for waaaaay cheap!!!! plus, they are warrantied for LIFE. so anything happens, BAM!! got new rims same day. no hassle. plus, they have the best customer service i have ever experienced anywhere. at all 3 stores ive been to, i dont know which one has better customer service. i love going there. thats the only place im ever gonna buy my shoes for my cars anymore.
+1
I would be careful with Sears, The rims may be OK but I don't know about the customer service part. The Sears around here are not good on the customer part. I only buy their tools.

Sears doesn't make the wheel, they just rip you off on the price. You can do better almost anywhere else.

My first full size truck was a 99 1500. I bought Goodyear MT's and Centerline Hellcat wheels for it through Sears. Worked out pretty good. Lifetime balancing and rotation. Other than the fact they were a little expensive, I thought it was an alright deal.
