Default Wiper Problem

New to this site. 2002 Dodge Ramm 1500, 5.9lt. Turn the wipers on and they run the entire time I have them on, but when I turn them off they rest (park) in the middle of the windshield. when I turn them back on they go down to the bottom and continue to swipe back and forth. They do not swipe outside the windshield. The operate completely normal other than the parking. Any help would be appreciated.

I think the drive arm just needs to be adjusted relative to the motor. Mark where the wipers are on the windshield (Vis a Vis), take them off, take off the plastic guard over the wiper motor, put the wipers back on where the marks are, loosen the nut that ties the drive arms (The metal rods) to the wiper motor, pop them off the motor, move the wipers to the park position (They are freewheeling now), and put the drive arms back on, nut, tighten, take off the wipers, replace the plastic, put the wipers back on in the parked position. Voila.

The drive arm isn't actually keyed to the wiper motor, just grooved (at least on mine). Your wiper motor is fine, just out of adjustment to the wiper drive arm. The giveaway is that the wipers stay on the windshield, if they are going off the windshield then it means the wipers are out of adjustment to the drivearm. Trick is adjusting the right thing PM me for more info if you need it. Also have a fix for bad parking that I'll be posting.
