Default HELLA HORN INSTALLATION HELP

I bought a 3 horn air horn from HELLA. I need some advice on how to install it in my truck. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.

The directions that came with the horn do not help at all. I need step by step directions. I am useless when it comes to wiring.

What i did is add another switch that i put above the e'brake release. The kit should have came with a relay that you just use the directions to see how to wire it. It has nothing to do with the stock horn so you will heep it. The relay and fuses are seperate from the truck. The fuse is in the wiring etc. Its very easy to do. I suggest soldering all the connections. Its kind of hard to type step by step instruction since i did it a couple months ago.

How did the install go?

I have a question. Since the complete kits are so expensive, I'm trying to buy the parts a few at a time. I was wondering if this would work: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...yword=air+tank

I understand I would need other parts to modify it, if it would work.

I appreciate it!

Doesn't look like it would work as it looks like you add the air through the out nozzle. You will need at least 4 openings. A spot for the pressure switch, the actual tubing to the horns, a safety valve blowoff, and the tuding from the compressor to the tank.

I don't know what your budget is, but Seige Engineering over on Ebay has great deals on complete systems. Wiring, tanks, horns, compressors, solenoids, etc. Just stay away from the Jericho system that they offer. It is crap and won't last more than a year. I bought that one and, mine crapped out 3 months later. No warranty. Then I bought another complete system with a Viair compressor (1 yr warranty) and this is much better. Got a 3 gallon tank with more openings than I needed so I bought a compressor attachment kit from Lowes and now my tank doubles as a tool. I can use it to inflate tires, blow out things and what not. I spent less than $300 for the whole set up and about 3 hours to install. Most of that time was deciding on where to out the horns. BTW, I decided to out then behind my front bumper, mounted to the frame, pointed down...

Sweet! Thanks for the info. I read your other post about the Jericho system, and would NEVER get that! I'd love to have the system you have. Living near the beach there's always some tube or kids toy that needs to be inflated. Plus, being able to inflate a tire if I need it...

Do you remember where you got your compressor? Or was it Seige?
