Anyone that has a bed cover on there truck know if there gas mileage got any better after doing it???

I have one and noticed no measurable difference. Looks a lot cleaner though.

As few years ago, Ford tried to convince the EPA that adding a bed cover as standard equipment would add 1 mpg to the highway estimates. Do not rember why, but the feds did not buy it.

 

Yeah I think there have been plenty of tests and all show no gains

I think there is no difference, just like taking your tailgate off...There is no difference...

 

IF ANY, it would only be noticed when consistantly travelling a speeds where the aerodynamics truly become a factor. Sorry I don't know what speed that is but quite sure not street speeds, maybe highway.
