Thank you! Even up here there aren't a lot of girls that like to play as rough as the boys when it comes to trucks. And with everyoneI know driving diesel trucks (most of which are Cummins), I have no one to turn to. Since I got my truck in September I have had lots of comments about how it can just sit and look pretty. And of course me being a girl, the comments get worse. Most of these guys don't understand I grew up at the track. So now it is time to show them what a Hemi can do, and what girls can do...We aren't here just to look pretty

I want to show these boys I deal with that a Hemi is able to do more than just look pretty (although if I could come close to touching the 10 sec 1/4 mile diesel truck then my life would be wonderful)
You will need ALOT to make a 10 second Ram with a Hemi in it.

First step, just pull the 5.7 in favor of a 6.4 BUILT crate Hemi. Upgraded internals, big cam, heads and intake then FI, Turbo, SC or a BIG shot of NOS. Of course a new tranny and rear is also needed.

I know there is no way I can catch the 10 second diesel truck (he uses NOS and has lots of goodies in his truck)...that is my pipe dream
I do want to go fast, get good times, but still have my truck street legal and safe...got kids that go in it so can't be going over board...just enough to at least beat my boyfriends diesel on the 1/4 mile is the for sure thing (he's running 13-14s on the track)

Also, is there any way to tell if someone has used a programmer on my truck? I test drove a few before mine, and mine seems to have more get up and go...hence why I got it...

e fan, even with my heavy foot iv gained 1.5mpg where as even with 4.56's gears i didnt gain any mpg. as far as power, heads and a cam, and sct can reflash the pcm and it will run PERFECT, once you tear into the motor your gona need to tune unless its just a 6.1 cam or 260. with any type of tunning you'll need the ability to datalog as im sure you might know from your boyfriend. any idea how much money you want to spend on just the motor? thats gona be the limiting factor. FI is gona cost an easy 10,000 grand for a built motor and what ever your power adder is. if your serious about power contact sharadonperformance or inertia motor sports (stu) they can tell ya what cam, heads or motor you'll need for what ever purpose your use the truck for, ohh and no body has broken the 10's yet in the 3rd gens, fastest is brad with a 11.464 on a built 370 stroker and 270 shot of spray, and its a shelled rcsb 2wd.

4.56s or at least 4.10's will help your 4x4 out ALOT! basic bolt ons after that should net a little over 320whp, and from there its how deep your pockets are...

As for my truck, obviously, making it go fast won't happen over night unless I win the lotto...I figure start small and go from there...

Rome wasn't built in a day and my truck won't kick *** in a week...

sorry i should have specified, gassers havent broken into 10's. my bets were on a boosted hemi gettin into the tens but nobodies done it yet.also once you reach anything over 400whp, its like walking onpins andneedles wit the stock trans and depeding on how you drive it, a lot less is needed to break it.
