yeah this thread was kinda useless....and the tundra won't be on top for very long...just wait till the 09 Ram with the 5.7 comes out ...from what i've heard at work, the numbers will be higher
Ive heard speculation that the new 5.7 will come outfitted with 380 hp, and 425 ft lbs of torque.

How about this...

Toyota Trucks are made in America... yes... and the factories create jobs... yes

BUT

When a Tundra is sold, the profit... increases this countries GDP? Nope.. The profit goes overseas.

And, what about this? Toyota creating a few jobs in America so the people that work for them are not on welfare and leeching off the system does not outweigh what will happen if GM or diamer chrystler tanks... A LOT more people in this country are out of work and now on unemployment and can't support themselves, and an American company tanks thus negatively impacting THIS economy.

I don't live in Japan I live here, and I get raped in taxes being a 22 year old white male that makes well above the poverty line, so what economy do I want to support? This economy. What auto-makers do I want to support? The ones here.

this is getting out of hand. every damn thread on this forum now is a Toy vs Dodge or what oil do you use post. it makes me not even want to come here anymore, i used to love this forum.

Whats next, are you going to go over to the cummins forum and tell them that they suck because the other series of cummins motors are bigger. No one gives a ****.

Lets see a Yoda kill a Jeep Srt8

So what makes the GC SRT8 so good, so different, if you will, from a regular Grand Cherokee? Plain and simple, the gentlemen over at SRT (Street and Racing Technology). To put all that extra power to the road, they reengineered the all-wheel-drive system with a new transfer case, front axle and a sturdier rear with a Dana 44 differential. But the biggest difference is felt when you throw the GC SRT8 into a curve. In a typical Jeep, you’d be met with varying degrees of squish; with the SRT8, rock-solid handling. A 1.0-in.-lower ride height, Bilstein dampers, stiffer springs, larger anti-roll bars and 255/45R-20 front tires and 285/40R-20 rears transform the GC SRT8 from ho-hum SUV into sports-car competitor.

In outright speed, it flat spanked every vehicle here. Jeep has been bragging that the GC SRT8 runs to 60 mph in under 5.0 sec., wet or dry. They weren’t lying: In our testing it ripped to 60 in just 4.6 sec. and to the quarter mile in 13.2 at 104.1 mph. Those are sports-car numbers! Apparently this is what happens when you strap a raunchy-sounding 6.1-liter V-8 with 420 bhp and 420 lb.-ft. of torque to a 4800-lb. all-wheel-drive vehicle. Four-wheel powerslides come standard.

You see folks, Its all subjective. Now some one can add a viper or vette or Porsche etc etc etc. Makes no difference at all. Does the Toyota make more Horsepower? YES, Do I lose sleep at night worrying about it? NOPE! I dont care what you drive, theres always someone tyring to make A competing brand better or faster. The point is Moot. You can go as fast as you can afford to go!
