Default HELP!!! Threw a code

Went to start and the check engine light stayed on. I had the code read and P0456. EVAP system leak monitor, small leak detected. Ok I have limited knowledge so can someone explain, is this something that needs to be fixed right away (moneys limited)and maybe a rough price of cost to fix. Thanks
