"Back in the day", disc brakes were touted to last 100K. Real-world is somewhat less than that. Too many variables to guess here. Pull one or both front wheels and check the pads. Look at the rotors for signs of excess heat. I expect to get 55K-70K from the pads on my truck currently. My 300C needs a brake job at 30K, 'cause my wife likes to hurry up to stop, so she pounces on the pedal at the last possible moment. If it does need pads, ceramic are well worth the extra few bucks.
When I was married, my wife "ATE" brake pads on her Grand Cherokee's! I've replaced fronts in as little as 21k miles and even though from her first one in 1994 through 2004 when we got divorced, she got a new Jeep every 3 years, I never made it to trade in time without having to replace them. Sad thing is, she rarely averaged over 15k a year, even though we almost always used her Jeeps when we went out together and always used them on vacations.
That said, last time I changed my oil and rotated my tires on the truck, my fronts looked to have about 70% life left on them and I had about 36k on my truck then...
