Default glasspack

Hi i just bought a cherry bomb glasspack. I am wondering how exactly do you install it. Is it welded or clamped in? I have all the tools just need to know if clamped or welded. Thanks

I put one on a '73 Nova 350-SS I had when I first got my license like 24 years ago (damn, I'm getting old[&o]) back then they had to be welded.
BTW: If they are still the same as they used to be, your gonna LOVE the sound!!!

I ran two on my Nova. Almost a true dual setup except I welded in an "H" pipe. Glasspacks as a rule are a straight shot single in/single out for optimum flow.
However, they also offer some very nice performing chambered mufflers that can be purchased single in/dual out.

glasspacks huh... I remember back in the day I had those on a couple of my old rides. I remember the first thing I would do was go straight to the carwash after having them installed, shuv the wash wand up the tailpipe after getting them real hot and then bang on them with a small bat to break up all the insides so I ended up with basically no muffler at all, just a muffler shaped straight pipe. AHH those were the days... back when the law didnt really hassle me for being really loud!

Later on I found out that 4 foot long 4" chrome tips had almost the same effect, I had those on my 1996 Ram. I prefer the stealth method now, its alot easier to sneak in and out of the garage with the factory stuff now.

I had an ol' 1979 Jeep Grand Cherokee wit a 360 & Quadra trac. It had a Cherry Bomb just clamped on it...man that **** was LOUD..... i miss that thing.
I could barely get that thing to do 65mph...but i could smoke all 4tires at once ..till i snapped the main drive shaft and decided that was a bad idea .
