My MPG has dropped like 4-5 in a week or so, what the hell? I am gettin like maybe 12 on the highway if I am lucky and 9 or so in town. Used to be anywhere from 14-18. Air filter is clean.. what else can I check? I know the fuel filter is outta my league.

 

How many miles on it? Is it tune up time?
Besides needing a basic tune up, other mpg killers are low tire pressure, dirty throttle body (notorious on our trucks), faulty EGR valve, and plain old crappy winter blend gas.
A combination of a few of the above factors will really kill fuel economy...

 

04 with 54k Hemi, hasn'tbeen shopped forservice since 30k

 

i had the same symptom, and posted here about. it. i think i have it narrowed down to a dirty tb, or plugs. I will be changing both this weekend.

 

I'm betting the TB has never been cleaned. If they even checked it at your 30k service and did not call you to clear the extra cost, they didn't do it.
Do a search on here for the proper method to clean it (it's on this forum, I've read it) and clean it, even if it's not the only factor effecting your economy, it needs it...
