Ialready got the flowmaster 50 hd n luv it but its still not loud as i want it. I cant take off the cats. im planing on geting headrs, but other then that what can i do. and what headers should i get?

 

Headers will deepen the tone nicely, but not make it louder. If you get them, don't waste your time on shorty's. Mids are OK if you are in an inspection state, but for any real gains you are gonna want long tubes.

A 50HD is what I have, nice sound, but not too loud. Try changing to a 40 series for more sound. If you really want loud, put glasspacks on it (better performance too).

 

A cheap way is to get a cutout. Got mine from http://www.dmhperformance.com/
Best part is you can close it whenever you want, Cops or from the drone on the highway.

Why do you want to be louder?

 

did you have the resonators removed? if not take them off and it will be louder. also the 40 series is alot louder than the 40 series. maybe get a 40 and sell the 50 on here for a good price make some of that $$ back. Cutouts would really give you the loud sound you want when you want it and when you want to cruise around quietly you can shut the cutout and run off your 50 series.

 

Laying on the horn would be the cheapest and quickest way.

 

add some name brand stickers to your back window..ads 5hp each and makes it 10times louder! true story

 

is this a serious question? obviously the less air restriction u have in your exhuast system the louder it will be, eliminate as much as u want till your down to just bare manifolds then maybe just maybe it will be loud enough

 

i used 2 have a 2004 ram 4x4 hemi custom wood grai int leather seats power all, nascar package,etc
i had the loud exaust and after while it was a headache its cool dont get me wrong and i didnt get old im 28 but the 2003 i have now is in the mid soft at idle and when its on they'll know lol
