Default Steering wheel shimmy

My steering wheel has a slight shimmy above 25MPH. i thought it was the tires so I bought new tires and rims, needed them anyway. Still have the slight shimmy. Any thoughts what it could be.

If you have new tires and rims next thing to check is suspention parts like ball joints and ty rods. Have a garage do a safety inspection. If it is during you trying to stop then I would check the brakes and rotors.

Does it get worse when you apply the brakes? If so, look for too much run-out in a front rotor. If not, out-of-balance or out-of-round tire.
