the truck is 4wd right? Why would you want to lower a 4wd any ways? It kinda defeats the purpose of owning it then.

 

like they said before, air bags. one of my friends has the same 'dilemma' with his chevy. he got air bags. he can lower it waaaaayy low and he can get it nice and lifted. best of both worlds!!!

 

This is easy.... A 4x4 should NEVER be lowered. If you want to lower buy a 2WD.

 

i want to lower my 4x4 because its not done normally.....in summer there is no need for 4x4ing anyway i watch other people wreck their **** in the mudd.....thats why looks like bags would be the easiest....im just afraid they will deteriorate with time......

 

first off you have a 1500 independent rorsion bar suspension. Good luck trying to find any system that will lower and raise if any. The bags that big huge ford trucks have that lift like 12+ inches are bags in the front and back. theres a company that makes them but for sure not a 1500. Id say just lift it 3-4 inches put better tires and be done.
