actually.....thats the 0-60....i timed it multiple times w/o any performance upgrades or anything....i didnt think it would take that long either...i was really shocked and kinda pissed (b/c i have the fookn slow truck) but hopefully once i get that cai (i already put those plugs in) that will make a lil difference

Ah, well i think most people here rock a manual, i'm getting my truck back to day from the dealer ship i was having some dents taken out and plats put on, it will be a 08 1500 single cab v6 3.7L manual with like 897 miles on it. I will take it out and get some times. I will do a full out race poping the clutch and all totaly stock.

I remember running the truck back in febuary of '07 when we first boufght the thing. 0-60 was something like 10.8 ish. That was before any power upgrades, but also befor I installed the toolbox with about 200 lbs. worth of tools in it too. And, as I recall, was with 1/4 tank of fuel. I will run it again sometime tomorrow and post my 0-60 & 1/8 mile times monday.

 

im gonna do mine again after the upgrades tomorrow when im on the hwy...less cops

 

so remember when my 0-60 was like 15 sec....well thats long gone....i just timed it after the cai and spark plugs...BAM 11.5-12.3....wow big improvement...u guys think bout performace....3-5 seconds shaved off a 0-60 is impressive for only doing 2 upgrades on a truck...btw i "raced" my dad on the way to my families easter party....he has a 08 gmc acadia...lookem up they are very nice n powerful.....i lost by 3 car lenghts....

 

Hey tex, What rear axle ratio do you have? And is your truck a longbed or a shortbed? I ran a ( YAWN ) 10.2 0-60 yesterday. But at about 65 mph, it starts to run out of steam. I guess the wind resistance is starting to get hard to overcome at that speed. I want to take our truck out to the dragstrip here in gleason and get an OFFICIAL 0-60 & 1/8th mile track time. Best of 3 runs. Only cost $10 to do so. BUT, I would be WAYtoo embarrased when that Volkswaggon Van passes me about 1/2 way down the track !!!!!!

 

lmao....mine is a shortbed and idk what axle ration...whatever is standard on the 2005 dodge ram 1500s......10.2 isnt bad tho....my friends mustang run about a 9 sec 0-60....yea i will prob go to the drag strip in Denton sometime and get it officialized...so we will see

btw when u are timn it do u turn ur tow package on? i didnt have it when i did it for my timn...wondern if it helped ne
