I own a 2005 1500 4x4 with the hemi. I know the truck has lots of power and will handle the new camper I just bought, 5100 lbs. What I want to know, is about the tow/haul. Do I keep it in overdrive, or do I shift it down to 3rd. I have not pulled anything this big before with a truck with the tow/haul feature. Any info would be nice.
Thanks

I would say keep tow/haul on until you get it up to highway speed then turn it off(of course no hills just flat highway). Not to change your post but what did you get for a brake controller? I'm looking for the best. My advise on tow haul has not been tested by me so use at your own risk.

Yeah, keep it in tow/haul on unless your already at speed, and it is flat.
The weak link in the tranny's in 2prime, well, downshifting under high power/load into it is. Tow/Haul gives you overdrive, but gets rid of 2 prime.

For a controller i reccomend a prodigy.
