ya i know but even still with a solid 3" in/out its its gonna be hard pressed to keep up you always need some back pressure

texas - for our trucks...just get a new muffler, and have them customize some tailpipes for you. maybe get a high flow cat or something. no need for a full exhaust or anything. we have the same exhaust as the hemis, but with half the engine...so, the stock exhaust isnt' very restricting at all, and it probably over kill to begin with. anyways, have them throw on a single in/dual out of your choice, with pipes out behidn the wheels or striaght out back, and you'll be out the door under 300.

and about all this backpressure stuff, it's your call. i don't see much of a use in it. i'm not racing the thing (no one should be racing our trucks..lol..cause, they're slow). if you want some performance gains, skip all the nonsense and throw in some gears. here is a vid with a truck with a 410 gear:

it's a lot quicker than what we got...but i want to go 456, cause we have so much rpms to work with. i'm waiting for further details for silenthawk.

If you like pain in the As' loud get the Mangaflow it ok at idle but up on the HWY with you'r foot in it it LOUD I took my off and went with a stock replacment IMCO brand love it nice sound though out good back pressure.

I have not tryed Flows on this truck but on these 3.7 you'r foot in it alot keep that in mind so it gets loud it's not a big V-8 where you don't have to stand on it to get it rolling all the time.

Magnaflows are straight though type of mufflers you can see straight though them Flows have baffles in them IMCO are a baffle type muffler also.

I ran Z-Force on my last truck A 5.4 Ford V-8 sounded great then once again it roared when you foot was in it but at cruise It had nice mellow rummble sound to it I think on the 3.7 it would be loud mainly you have you foot it so much of the time at least where I live the nornal speeds around here is 70 to 80 MPH mostly HWY driving.

Like I said on my old truck it was great sound getting up to speed and once you gotten to speed and got you foot out the gas it had a great rummble to it.

As of now I think I keep this truck for a couple years but from now on V-8, V-10 orCTD Baby live and learn never agian V-6 in a full size truck.
