Better Gas Milage
Hey guys! I am the proud owner of a 2005 ram 1500 4x4 quad cab with the 4.7L V8. I am a part of an all Chevy family, but I must say that I absolutly love my Ram and wouldn't trade it for anything esle except for maybe a hemi. 
but i think that the 4.7 still has a lot of power and probably gets a little better mileage. I am right now getting about 12MPG in a mixed driving favoring more towards the city side. I am driving it pretty softly too. I am running stock everything exect for my tires. It came with 285x70x17 (basically a 33X11.5) Khumo A/T's which ride amazingly quit and smooth. Anyways I was wondering what I could do to improve my gas mileage and add a little power. In a week I am going to add dual out the rear flowmaster's (2.5in pipe/3in outlets) coming out of a 40 series muffler. In another month or so I am also going to put a K&N 77 series cold air intake in along with new spark plugs. Any other suggestions? Thanks

CAI, cat-back exhaust and a tuner are usually the first three mods people go for. Solid gains in both the HP & MPG departments, they work with each other in concert for better gains than each would net individually, costs on each are relatively low & installation is simple. A lot of guys do these three and stop right there...
