I AM RESEARCHING REMOTE STARTS TO INSTALL ON A "04 HEMI QUAD 1500". THERE ARE SO MANY BRANDS AND OPINIONS ABOUT REMOTE STARTS OUT THERE. DOES ANYONE HAVE ROCK SOLID INFORMATION ABOUT THE BEST REMOTE START ON THE MARKET TODAY. I'M SURE THAT SOMEONE ON THE FORUM HAS SOME GOOD INFORMATION. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

 

I hear ya. I was running into the same trouble when researching remote starts. I have heard plenty of horror stories about them especially the ones installed at places like the big electronics outlets. In the end I figured that I've never had a remote start before so why add another headache to the mix. Good luck.

 

I don't have any "rock solid" information for you, but someone tried to break into my truck a couple of weeks ago by jamming something into the keyhole on the drivers side door. Every alarm place I went to said that is how they get into the trucks. They jam something into the keyhole and then pop the entire handle off. Long story short, I got the Viper 791XV and have not had any problems thus far. Good luck with whatever you decide to get.

 

i live in canada and just had one installed from the dealer it's a factory remote starter they have them for the rams and dakotas
