MPG with superchips programmed to economy?
Anyone out there with a 1500 dodge 4x4, quad cab, hemi, programed their truck to economy and have any numbers ofwhat the mpgis they get for regular hwy driving?I am a flat lands iowa guy.
I saw the post regardingbeing programmed to performance and picking up 2 mpg. I have mine programmed to performance and see 17.5 on hwy driving at 70 mph, no hills, and little wind. Otherwise average 16.5 - 17 onhwy trips.

I was consistantly getting 2-3 mpg's better with the performance setting and 93 octane gas than when using the economysetting and 87 octane gas. This fact, coupled with the added performance, has convinced me to stay with the performance tune and pay the extra each tank, it comes out costing less in the long run...
When I had my SC tuner, I also seen 2 MPG increase on performance with 93 octane gas. On economy, I did not see a MPG increase over the stock program with 87 octane, but I did not see a loss either.... The economy tune still performed better than the stock though, so it's not a total dud...
Sounds good, I have seen about a 2 mpg gain with performance, and enjoy the new life the tuner brought. I have been running 89 - 90 octane gas with e10. Will try a tank of premium and see what she does.
