I want to put some flow's on my truck. What worries me is the "life time" warranty. If I do put a different exhaust pipe will that cancel anything on the warranty?

Any after market mod can only effect the warranty on components that a failure of that mod can directly be proven to have caused to fail. Plus, of course, the aftermarket component will not be covered by the truck makers warranty. You could do a cat-back exhaust with relatively no worries...

No, if you stay behind the cats it will not do anything to your warranty, well other than void the muffler warranty

Depends on the mods but for bolt-ons the warranty will just be void on what you replace and anything it effects...so if you put LT headers on it'll void the exhaust from the headers back. There isn't much to void on just a catback exhaust. Basically the Maguson-Moss Act requires the dealer to prove any given part caused failure somewhere else...at least that's what I get from it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson-Moss_Warranty_Act

But you also have to use common sense...if you strap a blower to engine it'll probably void the entire warranty.

nah its all good. i put on a flowmaste dual cat back system. you really cant hurt anything back there. it was pretty easy. hardest part was getting the stock off. but its def worth getting an aftermarket exhaust
