Default Transmission Fluid?

I have a 07 1500 Quad Cab with a Hemi and I was wondering what is the best transmission fluid to use? Also what kind of spark plugs and how hard is it to change the plugs? I'm new to the forum so thanks for everything.

What mileage on your truck? It should have the tranny fluid changed at 30K, using ATF+4. Change the flat-pack filter then, as well. The manual says change the plugs at 30K, but you can probably let that go 'til 40K. Changing the plugs isn't necessarily difficult, but it is time-consuming. If you've done it before, figure about two hours. Use a blanket across the engine to get to the back four. The front twelve are relatively easy. BTW, welcome to da group.

You're coming up on another set of plugs if you wanna follow the book. Pretty much time for the tranny again. Both filters this time. The tranny is more important than the plugs. It'll probably go another 10K on those plugs, unless there are issues with idle or mileage. You can do the whole tranny maintenance for a third of what a shop will charge -- two hours time, seven quarts of fluid, and a $30 filter kit will take care of the tranny for another 30K. A shop quoted me about $120 -- if I supplied the filters. So I saved a c-note and I know who did the work.
