If It Doesn't Float, That Means Its Sitting In Your Master Cylinder Eating Away The Seals. Or Worse Yet, Eating Away At Your ABS Modules Seals
first off you'd better mic check your girl. (you may be too young)
Secondly how bad is ATF? I know brake fluid is highly corrosive, good way to F someones paint on their car is to pour brake fluid on it. So anyways my question is if brake fluid is so bad then how much worse is ATF that it would do a lot of damage to your brakes in a short period of time.

It's not that atf is corrosive it's, the rubber seals in your brake system react to it. they swell up causing a spongy pedal. This can completlt destroy yourbrake system. You better get a pressure bleeder on it asap. It may be to late already this can be very expensive. You may have to replace everything with rubber in it. master, calipers, flex hoses and possible your abs module. NEVER LET YOUR WOMAN TOUCH YOUR TRUCK!!!
haha. ya, or atleast next time it will be under my super vision.
i had the system professionally flushed today and everything seems to be fine now. so thats the end of my worries with that.
thanks for the help guys

Frist off, calm down. Only a small amount of ATF+4 went in. If your brakes were ok, then it was close to the fill line. Second, it is a complex synthetic. Third, water is the number one issue in the the brake fluid/lines (while the issue in FLA is not as bad as in the northeast with the temperature swings). If your fluid is more than 2 years old, you have some level of water contanination. Some now recomend that you replace the fluid when doing a brake job if it has been 2 years.
Drain the entire system and blow out the lines.Make sure it is all out and eveything you can inspect is clean. Just watch it for a while.
Best of luck
