i was gonna put a ctd but i figured since they are on a separate part of the forum id let them do it......did you know gm makes a bolt on kit for our trucks for the allison tranny....go figure that would be nice for towing purposes

As to the Allison Tranny, yeah I know about it. There's an Allison plant not too far from where I live....and I'd rather have an Allison tranny mated to any Dodge Ram over the Chrysler tranny. There are better performance trannies, but for a stock option, you cant beat Allison.
To be honest, that's the only real benefit to buying a Duramax in my opinion....
