alternator question

I had this problem at the start of winter it was the bearings in mine that were bad. you can pull your belt off and the alternator should spin by hand with no noise mine had a low growl to it, as it gets worst the belt will start slipping around the pulley and you will hear it sqeal. i had the charging part checked out and was it all good just the bearings were replaced for seventy dollars and 2 hours of down time for the truck, now its fine stays just above the halfway mark on the gauge. hope this helps

now if that dont take the cake, im driving last night and Fing around to see if my batt level decreases, so i push all windows up and then try to bring em down, they wont work, had to give it a rest for about 5 seconds then theyd work. now my driver fog light is out!!!!! damn silverstars arent cheap.
