Default FYI on FilterMag

I put the industrial version on our 08' PowerWagon. I figured I am keeping this truck as long as possible so why not do simple things to make it last as long as possible. Anyway at 1000mi I changed oil but to my surprise the PH16 filters I had for our 04'Hemi did not fit. It was a sunday and dealer was closed and NO ONE could cross reference it. So the old filter went back on with new oil. At 2500mi I changed oil & filter. I cut open the old filter being carefull not to contaminate with metal. What I found was VERY IMPRESSIVE. There was a large amount of metal stuck to the inside of the metal filter housing and a visable amount in the media by the magnet. Not big pieces but very fine stuff. It made my finger silver when I touched it. There was just oil and no film everywhere else. For 72$ shipped to my door I think It has abig bang for the buck factor. While that metal may come out at oil change it's nice to know it is not circulating around the engine while running.
