Do you have 12's or 10's becuase i have 1 type R 12" in 2cu ft ported box that replaced the rear driver side seat. My plans are to get another type r and build a 4cu ft box firing towards the driver seat. My one sub right now makes every interior panel rattle so i want another one to make it so i can't hear the rattling. haha
I have 2 Alpine Type Rs subs with the custom fiberglass boxes made for under the back seat and they sound really good, plus I didnt have to raise the seat.

Why not go with 2 Kicker L7's 8"?? They are 450 RMS 900 watts peak. Thats more than enough for your truck cab. I ran 2 10" kicker CVR running at 300 watts peak in my 5 door car and it shook it to ****. These subs are dual voice coil so you can run them in Parrallel (sp?) and save on an amp or buy a complete system amp to go under your seat. The new Alpine Amps actually run cool when used for a long period of time and are small. Great quality.
You could also put some new speakers in the doors because bass isnt everything your going to want some crystal clear sound to go with that sharp bass.

My friend an I built a box to replace the middle seat in the front with ports and recovered it so it still retains the seating capicity and the arm rest. You would never know it was there untill the radio was on.

I made a box to replace the lower section of my center console. It has exactly 1.03 cubic feet of internal volume after driver displacement and houses (1) downfiring 12" jl w3v3-2ohm sub. You simply disconnect the top part of your arm-rest section, and set the base part aside. There are arms that hold the base to the truck, well, use em! You can buy double ended screws from home depot or lowes, where one side is for going into the wood, and the other side is a machine screw where you can bolt the box to the arms. Pics should describe it better too.
Why fiddle with the back seat? AND throw away GREAT storage space. And I promise, this setup hits very well. Cap on the back of the box and amp under my seat. And the best of it? Besides NOT throwing away valuable storage space and messing with seat heights... nobody knows it's there. I love hearing "you got a sub in here?" and responding "yeah, find it." they all go to under the back seat.
