Check Engine Light
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab and the last year of the 5.9. My question is I keep getting a code stating something about my Evap system and cannon figure it out. I talked to the local Schucks or Autozone is some places and told me it might be the gas cap causing the problem. I am also speculating it to be another problem on the little vent tube next to the main gas fill tube there is a small cut hose clamped on there and everytime I fill up and it nears finish blows gas out the cut hose could this cause and evap system problem and where does this little hose go to. I looked at every nook and cranny on this truck and cant find out where it used to go. I am at a loss could it be the gas cap or the hose of the vent tube. I need your help since I will be moving to a city that requires emmisions check and if they see that light they will turn me away. So I figured I would come here since this is the best damn Dodge forum website out there and all the people are always helpful. So I need the help.

Im gonna say that yes that is prolly your problem. As to how to fix it, can't help ya sounds like you may have to drop the tank or lift the bed to get to it. Good luck I have a leak problem as well that I am trying to sort out.
VERY common and usually a VERY easy fix. Trace all your hoses, starting under the hood, all the way back to the tank. Especially look around the Evap cannister, usually it's where the culprit lies. Usually fixable with a tube of silicone or at most a new line. I've even seen cracks around a hose clamp cause it where you can just cut off the end and re-clamp it.
Good Luck...

By the sounds of it you've figured it out. Yeah, it basically means you have a big leak.
