I have a 03 dodge ram hemi 5.7 and it doesnt have what it should off the line, it doesnt sputter but close. i run mid grade gas but dont have the power i should, it wont rev over 4 grand in park, it cuts out. is that normal? thank you for any info you may have. Russ.

I know in park you can't rev it that high. How many miles does it have and how old are your plugs?

 

The rev limiter won't let it get past 4K. Why would you want to? As for the power, odds are you need plugs, TB cleaning, maybe plug wires, too. How does the air filter look?

 

time for upgrades

 

TB that sorely needs cleaning or faulty EGR valve are the culprits about 90% of the time, assuming it's just not very in need of a tune-up...
