what size tire could i fit on my truck with a 2 inch leveling kit and a 3inch body lift?

 

It depends is it 2wd or 4wd, think the 4x4 would be cutting it close and doubt the 2wd will have the room without cutting.

 

Need six full inches to fit 37's on a 4x4. None of the 6" kits I've seen except the Skyjacker fit 37's without some other modifications (cutting, etc.) as the Fabtech, Pro Comp & Superlift 6" kits all measure out to between 5 & 5.5" when installed. (At least this holds true on the '02-'05 kits).

I have a 3" body lift, 2.5" leveling kit and a 3" rear add-a-leaf! I have 37" tires and I still had to take a cutting wheel to the fender! And also had to cut the front bumper and re-mold the wheel wells with a heat gun! Don't get me wrong because it looks fricking great, however when I go 4-wheeling I have to watch it because when I get a heavy foot and hit some big bumps or rocks it will still rub on the wheel well by the door! And I can't cut out any more or I will be into the door jam!

So in other words If you are a pavement pounder then go for it! But if you want to take it off road then I would look for a 7+" lift for 37's! I am going to have to buy some 35's for wheeling beucause I just can't stay on the pavement with a truck like that!!!

I agree with Hammer and Nitto about the lifts. Most of the 6in dodge lifts are said to accomodate 35x12.5 tires without rubbing or trimming. In which case I would say go with a 4in cuz it will fit the same tire size but weigh less and stick out of the truck less so you will get better areodynamics, sobasically it means better fuel economy. This is a 6in lift at top gunz that fits an 02-05 ram that is said to fit 37x13.5x17 tires if you use an aftermarket wheel with 4.5in backspacing and it should fit without having to trim too much. http://store.topguncustomz.com/store...amp;i=27313066 But if you have a 1500 then you have an IFS suspension which means that your truck won't be able to handle 37's for very long before you run into serious problems with suspension failures. Ask Hammer what happened to his friend who had an IFS with 38's. And Romeoville has a 2.5in level and 3in body kit and has 36x13.5x20 Irok tires on his truck with stock. It looks sweet! I would rather have 17's but it still an awesome truck! Also if you do go up in tire size it would be wise to go with 4.56 gears and an LSD to make the truck perform closer to stock without any dramatic power loss.

 

Iwould say you can safely run35's with no rubbing or trimming. Thats what I'mdoing...justput my leveling kit on last weekend, getting the 3in body lift andputting on 325/65 18's which are 35's that I already have.

 

Or ask Hammer about the guy with the Ford F-150 with 37s in his hunting club who busted his front end while hog hunting so Hammer could lose the better part of a day's hunting to winch and drag his sorry *** out where a flatbed could get at him. Or ask Hammer about the buddy of his with an 03 Dodge Hemi with 37's who asked Hammer to change his CV axle when it busted going over a log which Hammer went over before him. Oh, and the guy with the 38s busted down on the highway!!!

Can you guess? Experience has told me that IFS and tires over 35" just don't mix, and I don't care what brand of truck it is...

 

I have a 4x2 with a 2 1/2 leveing kit in the front and 2 inch block in the rear and a 3 inch body lift and I'm running 325/60/20 on stock rims and have no problems
