so yea, the trucks done...i think. when i called around 12:30, they said it was in the air...but i had to bail and head to crystal lake (burbs), and just got home a few min ago.

motive is bottom tier i hear. just cause they're sold off of airram.com doesn't make them the best.
motive since 1984 = a loud part that's imported maybe?two places here in chicago wouldn't warranty them (i asked cause i wanted to buy parts offline for cheaper).
us gear since 1963 = made in chicago.

anyways, gears are awesome. they is no noise whatsoever. as for the trucks performance, i actually haven't gotten too into it. i picked it up, dropped it off at home (is rush hour traffic). took bus to get to maxima from exhaust shop, drove truck back to work in rush hour...so, i never got it over liek 30. tonight, on way home, it was open highway, but rainy as ****. i stil haven't been able to stop, and floor it.

what it did do for sure, was add torque...a lot of it obviously. in our little v6's...you didn't get any power until you were revving above 4k it seemed. now that extra pull starts to kick in around 3.25k

peel out, i did a lot of, but, it's wet as hell outside...lol. when it's dry, i don't really think it will peel out. i think i may look into some lighter wheels. those stock 20" clads are heavier than ****.

tomorrow, it should be nice enough to really get into it.

 

you have to have felt performance change. I mean to go to 4.56, the least amount of gas must feel different. Man o man . . . Over here is $700 with LSD and 4.10.

 

to be honest, i cant remember if i have motive or us gears in my truck haha

 

^^ the two guys that run this shop, gave me like a rundown of companies they deal and have dealt with, etc.

they totally said to use us gears (they make chryslers gears, have a bunch of airline contracts, etc) cause they're as smooth as butter and super quiet. BUT, they were expensive. i paid about 300 for my ring/pinion.



tupac....how the **** is it that cheap? my posi was like 400, my gears 300...that's like your total cost. and, i had to pay labor, and like, 50 bucks for the bearing/oil/etc/tax. i paid like 1100 for this sumbitch.
