Default New Hood on Ebay, Help!

So when i bought my truck it had a tiny bit of damage, no biggie...my cuzin does auto body and is fixing it for free right now....Apparently i need a new hood since the one on there now is buckled underneath, he said he could fix it but it wouldnt look perfect. Figured why not get the Cowl one? Was looking around and debating weather i should pay 700 for it. I look on ebay and find this one,

Since im not an expert on this stuff, but it seemed to me like a good deal...What do you guys think? Also would this make my truck look ricer? Im not looking for that at all..ha

I don't think it looks ricer. Looks like a good deal to me, but then again i've never bought anything from e-bay.

Aftermarket hoods often need a lot of prep work...even then they never quite fit as good as O.E.

Also did you see the shipping cost...$210 is ridiculous and that's where they're making their money. So that's makes the hood $400, unless you do the prep work yourself it could get very expensive.

I promise you, you will regret goin glass on the hood. Especially for that price:you get what you pay for. I know a few guys that did it and the hoods were absolute garbage. We had to totally reinforce it and when they ran it, they shot it too hot and it started spider cracking all over the place. He hadent even started driving the car yet. If its cracking just sitting....no thanks...
I bought a hood off ebay, a steel 1. The guy was easy to deal with and has 2 types of hoods. Ram air, (non function), and just a reg cowl. No matter what, its up to you but just giving you my .02 cents.

If you like the SRT-10 look get the real one! You can get the Mopar one from Art @ Henson Motors in Texas for $600 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-M...spagenameZWDVW

DO NOT GO WITH FIBERGLASS, most places woulnt touch it, hard to prep, and then you cant close it like a regular hood cause it will crack, or the paint will.

go with steel or aluminum.

that style of hood wont make your truck look like a ricer but as others said it is fiberglass...I've never been a big fan of fiberglass on cars and it seems like eveyone else is saying its a pain to make it right.....I would just go with a metal hood...

If you go with the hood I have dont waste your money getting it painted by them. Fitment is not perfect either. It sits a bit higher on the passenger side.
