Default Replacement Shock Selection

What I have:
2004 Ram 1500 QC 4X4 short box w/5.7, 3.92, and 20" factory wheels;
mods: Trans-go shift kit, Superchips tuner, Firestone air bags for the rear suspension.

The shocks have been terrible since I took the test drive on the new truck. Now they're just gone. 37K miles on the clock. I'm looking at Bilstein shocks (they only make one style) as replacements for stock. I'm just trying to get the thing back under control. I use my truck almost exclusively for towing the boat or hauling crap. (dd is a '00 vette)

Has anyone installed these?

BE5-6928-H0 (front)
BE5-2550-H1 (rear)

The best deal I've found so far is at eshocks.com for $64.95 a pop.

Search didn't help much - as every other post seems to have the word "shock" in it.

Thanks!

I'm thinking of Monroe Reflex for my '03, maybe by the end of summer. It rides OK for me, and frankly I'm surprised the OEM shocks are still good at 94K. Maybe the Reflex will be an improvement, but I don't want to change 'em 'til these start to fail.

I purchased and had the Monroe Reflex installed..Pretty good, no complaints thus far....got them instead of the Rancho's....and again I can't complain.

This time of year in the northeast, there are lots of potholes. I'm finding my truck to be a little jumpy around town and was thinking of doing the shocks when I do the balljoints. I don't know what kind of shocks to go with either. Everyone seems to have a different opinion.

Rancho's & Bilstein's are clearly the choices of the Off-Road set, the pavement pounders with both 4x4's and 4x2's choices vary among many brands...

I went with the Monroe Reflexs and installed them a week ago. I'm very happy with the ride. A little firmer than stock with less body roll and dive. I got mine locally at Advance Auto and they price matched rockauto.com so I saved about $50.00 total on 4 shocks and have the lifetime warranty.
