Default aftermarket head unit questions

I'm looking to install an aftermarket head unit in my truck (panasonic)

Is there anything special I need to do to make sure my bluetooth still works through my head unit?

if u have the factory u connect i'm not sure how it works but i'm sure it won't work with a aftermarket head unit just like sat. radio. There may be a adapter you can get to make it work but otherwise i think you may loose that feature

yes you will lose your uconnect but most headunits now have blue tooth modules either built-in or as an add on. I know the alpine in my chrysler has a module and is nicer than the uconnect anyways. they also are sat ready so you can do sirius through the new head unit also.

That's the way it is with my JVC -- add-on device for bluetooth is like $150 or so. Mine's a 780. I think there's a model a step or two up that include it. Panasonic probably has something similar.
