Default Ditching the Nerf Bars

Hey you all, I'm gonna go ahead and ditch the bully nerf bars on the ram. Anyway, all I see are two big bolts to remove, and that's it right? Whenever I do remove them, do I have to put anything back on (stock parts) that were used to also install these things? I think my truck would look cleaner and more aggressive without them. I just think they look 10x better on quad cabs....I really don't know if I really like the look of them on reg. cabs so thus the reason why I want to ditch them.

i recently installed nerf bars on my truck and to do so, i pulled out the 2 big bolts and replaced them with 2 new ( maybe ) longer ones for the nerf bars, so you will need to put the 2 big ones back in. my bars also have 2-per side metal brackets that go from the nerf bars to the body. these are from the nerf bars so nothing there to replace if you have those. my truck is a quad cab so it may be different then your's.

Crap! Didn't know it used different bolts! Bought the truckwith themfrom the dealer, so they'd probably charge me insane prices for new bolts . Damn the last owner!

To each his own. But I like the look no matter what truck it is.

WHen I installed mine (not same brand) I had to pull out the bolts that hold the cab on the frame! Then use the supplied bolts, like the previous post stated, different length. I kept my originals

Yeah. And they have automotive bolts at Lowe's. Gonna put your bars for sale on the site?
