I just ordered the 2.5" daystar coil spring spacer. Does anyone have any horror stories about these? Also anyone that has installed coil spring spacers I would like to know how they worked out for you, and if you would do it again.
i have heard both good and bad .....but mostly bad... i have heard that the spacers made out of that polyuruthane (spelling??) after a while or getting wet muddy whatever will begin to dry rot like most rubber and plastic materials ..I have a friend who used them while going offroad one popped out of place due to the coil spring flexing and relax so much.... but not all are like that so thats all i know and have heard plus i have heard the the suspension travel and ride is affected??? but hope this helps i dont personally know since i went with the three inch spindle leveling kit.
I Have used the 2" spacers on my '06 Hemi and my '05 diesel and had no problem with them...BUT I used the all steel spacers from TOP GUN CUSTOMZ their site is www.Topguncustomz.com
ya the alignment is gone! also a little rougher up front and i need new shocks. i still have my oem ones in, but once i get my tires and get my ball joints fixed im getting longer shocks.
