a buddy said he knows a guy that has an 05, 06 or 07 ram that on the fender under the hemi badge says magnum. i saw one the other day and was wondering what the deal was. is it a more powerful hemi or what? anyone know. i didnt think that there was another hemi, just the 5.7. is it the 6.1? just curious.

 

Dodge V8s have been known as Magnums for years. Does not mean anything special or indicate extra power.

 

06-07 doesnt say magnum.

 

Maybe to reduce brand confusion from the Dodge Magnum?

 

Mine is an '05 and it has the Magnum under the Hemi 5.7L badge on the front fenders and on the intake.

 

the 03-05 hemi badges have "hemi magnum" on them..just a regular old 5.7 hemi...the vehicles with the 6.1 hemi have a "srt" badge
