I got an 05' Ram 5.7L and I got the Hypertech Programmer II hooked up.. It seems to give me more HP and better gas mileage but I haven't fooled with the Rev Limiter settings... Does anyone know what a good setting for that would be without damageing my engine...

 

keep under 6,000. for the most part hemi's stop making power after 5,800 rpm's, unless you have engine mods that are stillmaking power up high. on my superchips i have my limiter set at 6,000, shift points at 5,600. If you have stock internals and your taking it over 6,000 rpm your asking for trouble

 

What kind of mpg increases are you seeing with that and what octane are you using?

 

I am gettingbetween 17.5 and 18.2 highway with it.. I still get around 7 when I pull my boat though. I used the setting yesterday and raised my Rev limiter to 5500 and it makes the tranny change so much more smoother now... I have heard of people that have had NO results with theres but I think it's one of the best purchases I made for my truck...

 

most people who have hypertech switch over to superchips after they try out superchips, big difference from what I hear
