Speaker Recommendations
I just got my 6x9 3-way Infintiy Kappa's that I ordered and realized that they need an amp to power them and how crossovers that need to be run. I sent them back today.
Does anyone have a certain set of 6x9's for the front doorsthat they recommend? I have an aftermarket HU thats 22rms per channel and I have the4 speakersystem, not the infinity system. Iwant a speaker that will sound really goodrun off just the HU...I don't want to get into installing amps. Heard the pioneer 6x9 3-wayssound really good...any others?

I got the pioneers and love them. Decent bass, great mids and highs too. Also, if you ever decide to goto an amp set up, the poineers will be able to handle that extra power.
Hi, I just installed a Pioneer avic D3 which is also 22RMS. (200 Watt total)
I asked crutchfield for the same recomendation - a sensitive high quality speaker that works well with an aftermarket HU -- and they recommended the Boston Acoustics SX95 ($149) for front and SX65 ($99) for back. They are supposed to work well with stock head unit but have up to 60RMS so can be used with an external amp if I want to upgrade later.
I'm going to install them this weekend. Ill let you know how they sound.
