Hi, I'm new to the coil system so pardon my ignorance. I have an 03 2500 with a 6" (supposedly) lift. Whoever installed the lift added dual shocks but they are too long. There's only like 3" of downforce travel on RS9000's so......you hit a speed bump and it's like your riding a stage coach. My questions are these. Is the dual shock system even with the right size shocks still going to be overly stiff? If I go back to the single shock am I suppose to have shock towers (I just have a flat plate with a holein it bolted to thetop of the coils)? Will 01 shock towers fit on my 03? What is the correct procedure for removing the top plate or shock tower that seems to be compressing the spring?

i believe the 01 is the same for us HD's do you know what kinda lift is on there? you could always try different shocks...
